BENYLIN Children's Dry Cough and Sore Throat Syrup is a non-drowsy medicine formulated to soothe dry and tickly coughs and sore throats in children aged 1 year and over. With a pleasant blackcurrant flavour, it helps to calm the irritation in the throat that triggers a cough. Coughing is a natural reflex to clear the airways, and this syrup works by soothing the inflamed areas of the throat, providing effective relief for your little one.

Ingredients
Each 5 ml contains Glycerol 0.75 ml and Sucrose 1.7 g. Also contains: Citric Acid Monohydrate, Sodium Benzoate (E211), Anthocyanin, Blackcurrant Flavour, Blackcurrant Juice, Liquid Glucose, Purified Water.

Suitable For
Children aged 1 to 5 years.

Instruction

• Dosage:

  • Children 1-5 years: One 5ml spoonful.

  • Give 3-4 times within 24 hours, as required.

• Administration:

  • For oral use only.

  • If symptoms persist for more than 3 days, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Warning
Do not give your child this medicine if they are under 1 year old or if they are allergic to any of the ingredients. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if your child has an intolerance to some sugars. This product contains 2.15 g sucrose and 1.7 g sucrose in each 5 ml, which may be harmful to the teeth. The carbohydrate content of this medicine is 3.4 g per 5 ml. This should be taken into account in patients with diabetes. If anyone has taken too much of this product, contact a doctor or your nearest accident & emergency department (casualty), taking this pack with you. If you forget a dose, give the next dose when needed. Do not give a double dose. If your child experiences any of the following, stop giving the medicine and seek immediate medical help: unexplained wheezing or difficulty in breathing, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, neck or throat (severe allergic reactions). If your child experiences any other side-effects not listed here, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
