Installation & Maintenance

To brew, place the unit on a flat surface and add one rounded teaspoon of coarsely ground coffee per cup. Pour in hot water (92-96°C), leaving at least 2.5cm of space at the top, and stir with a non-metal spoon. Place the plunger on top with the spout closed, steep for four minutes, and then slowly lower the plunger. Before the first use, wash the unit in warm, soapy water and dry thoroughly. For daily maintenance, all parts are dishwasher safe; however, regular hand washing of the glass carafe is recommended to ensure its longevity.

Safety Warnings

Burn hazard: the glass carafe and metal frame become extremely hot during the brewing process; always handle the device by the plastic handle and avoid contact with the glass surface. Use only coarse-ground coffee; finely ground coffee can clog the mesh filter and create excessive pressure, leading to hot liquid spraying out when the plunger is depressed. Always press the plunger down slowly and with minimal force to avoid breakage or splashes. Place the unit on a stable, non-slip surface during use and keep it out of reach of children and pets when filled with hot liquid.
