Installation & Maintenance

Wash the unit in warm, soapy water and dry thoroughly before the first use; all parts are designed for easy cleaning and are dishwasher safe. To brew, place on a flat surface, add one rounded teaspoon of coarse coffee per 4oz of water, and fill with hot water (92-96ºC) leaving 2.5cm of space at the top. After stirring with a non-metal spoon, let the coffee steep for four minutes before slowly depressing the plunger to seal the grounds at the bottom. Periodically disassemble the filter screens to remove trapped coffee oils and ensure the glass is stored securely to avoid impact.

Safety Warnings

Scalding and breakage risk: handle with care when filled with boiling water and keep away from children and pets. This coffee maker is not suitable for use on stovetops, in microwaves, or over open flames as direct heat can cause the borosilicate glass to shatter. Always check for chips or cracks before use and discard immediately if any damage is found to avoid injury. To prevent hot liquid from splashing out, ensure the lid is turned to the closed position during brewing and lower the plunger using slow, steady, vertical pressure only.
