Detailed Product Description
In tropical Asia, long vetiver roots are woven into fans, carpets and other objects. Their scent lingers softly, perfuming temples and homes. Woody and smoky, the fragrance of vetiver recalls sacred spaces. Its deep, balanced aroma nurtures tranquillity, enveloping the room in a grounding calm. This classic candle from The Herbarium of Herbs collection brings the earthy, meditative essence of vetiver indoors. Suitable for small and medium-sized rooms, the fragrance is gradually released and becomes optimal after around 20 minutes. With a volume of 190g and approximately 60 hours of burning time, this candle allows you to enjoy the grounding, woody aroma of vetiver time and time again. Direction for Use
Prepare your space: Place your candle on a flat, heat-resistant surface. Protect delicate materials such as wood or marble with a stand or tray. Keep candles away from flammable materials and out of reach of children and pets.
Light the candle: We recommend lighting your candle with a match to avoid any risk of burning yourself. During the first burn, make sure to let the candle burn until a uniform pool of melted wax has formed (about 4 hours depending on the scent). This prevents the wax from tunnelling and allows the wick to absorb the wax properly, ensuring an even burn thereafter. Wicks may produce a small amount of smoke when first lit.
While burning: Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time after the first burn. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Do not move a burning or unlit hot candle. Keep it away from draughts. Leave at least 10 cm (4 inches) between two candles.
After each use: Snuff out the flame using a snuffer to avoid splashing hot wax. Re-centre the wick once the candle is out. Before relighting your candle, use a wick trimmer to trim the wick (ideal length: 3 to 5 mm) to avoid risk of fire.
Final note: Stop using your candle once there is only 5 mm of wax left or the metal wick sustainer base becomes visible.
After care and storage: We recommend airing out the room after burning a candle. Allow the wax to cool completely before moving your candle. Store it in a dry, temperate place (15 °C–25 °C / 59 °F–77 °F), away from direct sunlight to avoid discolouration, pigmentation or dislodge of the wax.
