Keep your kitchen environment fresh and inviting with the Hoover HCE160N/1, a practical and stylish 60cm chimney hood.
Engineered for everyday use, this hood features a reliable motor capable of an extraction rate of 350 m³/h. Whether you are boiling pasta or frying onions, you can easily manage the airflow using the simple Push Button controls. These mechanical buttons allow you to instantly switch between 3 speed settings, giving you the power to increase extraction intensity when the cooking gets heavy, or drop it down to a quiet hum for simmering.
Visibility is key when cooking, and the HCE160N/1 is equipped with energy-efficient LED lighting.
Usage Instruction:
Speed Selection: Use the three mechanical push buttons to adjust the airflow based on your cooking intensity.
Low Speed: Suitable for light simmering that produces minimal steam.
High Speed: Recommended for intensive cooking, such as frying or searing, to manage heavy smoke and odors.
Lighting: Activate the energy-efficient LED lighting using the dedicated push button to illuminate the hob surface during use.
Ducting vs. Recirculation:
Extraction (Venting Outside): Connect the hood to an external duct (typically 120mm or 150mm) to remove air from the kitchen.
Recirculation: If external venting is not possible, install activated carbon filters (sold separately) to trap odors before the air is returned to the room.
Safety Warning:
Fire Hazard: There is a significant risk of fire if cleaning is not carried out exactly in accordance with the instructions, particularly if grease is allowed to build up on the filters.
Flambé Cooking: Do not flambé under the cooker hood, as the open flame can damage the filters and ignite grease, leading to a fire.
Installation Height: For safe operation and maximum efficiency, the hood must be installed at a minimum height of 65cm above electric hobs and 75cm above gas hobs.
Hot Surfaces: Accessible parts of the hood may become extremely hot during operation. Avoid touching heating elements and keep children under 8 away unless supervised.
Electrical Safety: Before performing any maintenance or cleaning, you must disconnect the appliance from the mains power supply.
