Usage Instructions
Initial Setup: Unbox the laptop and connect the Surface Power Supply. Press the power button to start. Follow the on-screen Windows 11 setup wizard to select your region/language, connect to a Wi-Fi network, and sign in with your Microsoft account. The Copilot+ AI features will be configured during this process.
Power, Charging & Wake: Use the provided Surface Connect charger for optimal performance. The device can also charge via its USB-C ports. For instant-on access, you can use Windows Hello facial recognition via the front-facing camera or the fingerprint reader on the power button to wake and unlock the laptop securely.
Navigating Windows 11 & AI Features: Use the keyboard, large precision touchpad, and 13.8" PixelSense touchscreen for input. The laptop runs Windows 11. Access the dedicated Copilot key on the keyboard to launch the AI assistant. Explore native AI-powered apps like Paint Cocreator and Studio Effects, and use features like live captions and Recall (if enabled).
Connectivity & Performance: Connect to the internet via Wi-Fi 7. The Snapdragon X Elite processor and 16GB RAM are optimized for efficiency and AI tasks. Your 512GB SSD provides fast storage. For peripherals, use the USB-C ports or Surface Connect port. Performance for x86/64 apps is handled via emulation; use the Microsoft Store or recommended sources for ARM64-native apps for best performance and battery life.
Software, Updates & Security: This is a Copilot+ PC. Ensure it stays updated for the latest AI features and security. Regularly check Settings > Windows Update and the Microsoft Store for updates. Manage device security, BitLocker encryption, and app permissions in Settings > Privacy & security. Use the Surface app for driver updates and device customization.
