Detailed Product Description
These professional 100x610mm sanding belts deliver powerful stock removal across diverse surfaces. Engineered with coarse 60-grit aluminum oxide abrasive and reinforced GX51 cloth backing, they withstand high-pressure applications without premature wear. The specialized overlap joint with top-skive reduces vibration for smoother operation and extended tool life. Ideal for rapid paint stripping, heavy wood shaping, surface leveling, and light metal finishing in workshop or construction environments.
Direction for Use
To use the sanding belts, first disconnect the sander from the power source. Release the tension lever and remove the worn belt. Install the new belt, ensuring the directional arrows match the roller rotation. Adjust the tension until the belt runs centered without tracking. Power on the sander and allow the belt to reach full speed. For wood and paint applications, use moderate speed with firm pressure; for metals, apply light pressure at slower speeds. Maintain a steady feed rate and avoid lingering in one area. Replace the belt when the abrasive clogs or the backing frays.
Materials
Abrasive: Aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃) grains. Backing: GX51 polyester-cotton hybrid cloth. Bonding: Phenolic resin adhesive. Joint: Overlap splice with fiber reinforcement.
Product Warnings
Always wear OSHA-approved goggles and a NIOSH-certified respirator. Never operate without dust extraction. Avoid contact with moving parts. Do not use on asbestos-containing materials. Maximum sander speed: 1,500 SFPM. Discard belts if backing tears or joints separate. Store in sealed packaging away from moisture and direct sunlight.
