Unlike many vitamin D3 supplements derived from lanolin (a wax secreted by sheep glands and a byproduct of the wool industry), this formula is 100% vegan and cruelty free. Vitamin D3 is fat soluble, so we have added a base of coconut oil to enhance absorption and assimilation of this essential vitamin.
