Product Features
The Wisualarm Interlinked Alarm Bundle is a comprehensive wireless fire safety system designed for full compliance with current Scotland and England laws, specifically meeting EN14604:2005 and BS 5446-2:2003 standards. The package, measuring 5.8 x 33.5 x 10.3 cm and weighing 480 g, includes two smoke alarms and one heat alarm that are pre-linked for effortless setup. Each unit is powered by a built-in lithium battery, providing a reliable 10-year lifetime for both the power source and the sensors. These alarms utilize a wireless interlink system: if one unit detects a threat, all connected units sound simultaneously to ensure early warning throughout the home. The system is highly expandable, allowing up to 24 alarms to be linked together, making it suitable for larger properties or complex layouts.
Materials & Craftsmanship
This alarm kit is constructed from premium, fire-retardant ABS and PC materials to ensure durability and heat resistance during emergencies. Each unit is equipped with specialized Lithium Manganese Dioxide (CR123A) cells, chosen for their stable discharge and long-term shelf life. The sleek, modern white design is intended to blend discreetly into residential ceilings while housing high-precision optical smoke sensors and thermistor-based heat sensors.
Installation & Maintenance
Installation is versatile and user-friendly, offering both self-adhesive options using the included 3M stickers and traditional screw mounting with the provided positioning stickers and hardware. The "Pre-linked" feature means the units are ready to communicate out of the box. For maintenance, it is recommended to test the alarms monthly using the test button and to vacuum the vents periodically to remove dust. As these are 10-year sealed units, the entire alarm should be replaced at the end of its 10-year service life.
Safety Warnings
Do not paint over the alarms, as this will block the sensors and prevent them from functioning. Heat alarms are intended for kitchens or garages where smoke alarms might trigger false alerts, but they should not be used as a primary life-safety device in bedrooms or hallways. Regularly check the wireless signal strength if units are placed far apart. In the event of an alarm, follow your pre-arranged fire escape plan immediately. No declarable allergens.
