Safety Warning:
Flammable Materials: Do not leave the microwave unattended when heating food in plastic or paper containers, as these can ignite if overheated.
Sealed Containers: Never heat whole eggs (in or out of the shell) or sealed glass jars/bottles. Pressure buildup can cause them to explode violently, even after the microwave has stopped.
Arcing Hazard: Do not use metal pans, dishes with gold or silver rims, or metal twist-ties. These cause "arcing" (electric sparks) that can shatter the glass turntable or damage the internal magnetron.
Superheated Liquids: Microwave heating can result in delayed eruptive boiling. This means a liquid can reach boiling point without bubbles appearing; touching the cup or adding a spoon can cause the boiling liquid to suddenly erupt. Always let liquids stand for at least 20 seconds before handling.
Steam Burns: When removing covers or plastic wrap from heated food, always peel away from your face to avoid a blast of hot steam.
Baby Food: The contents of feeding bottles and baby food jars must be stirred or shaken, and the temperature checked before consumption to avoid serious internal burns.
No-Load Operation: Never operate the microwave while it is empty. This can cause the energy to reflect back into the magnetron and permanently damage the appliance.
Waveguide Cover: Do not remove the small mica/plastic plate located on the side wall of the interior. This protects the internal components from grease and food particles.
Surface Safety: The exterior of the microwave—especially the top and rear vents—becomes very hot during use. Keep a clearance of at least 20cm above and 10cm at the rear for ventilation.
