Technical Details

Usage Instruction:

1. Magnetic Attachment for iPhone 15/16:

   • Option 1 (Without Existing Case): Attach the included silicone magnetic case to your iPhone 15/16. The Lexar ES4 SSD will magnetically attach directly to the case.

   • Option 2 (With Existing Case): Attach the included magnetic ring to your existing phone case. Ensure the ring is properly aligned and adhered. The Lexar ES4 SSD will then magnetically attach to the ring.

   • Important: MagSafe wireless charging is not supported when the SSD is attached.

2. Connection:

   • For iPhone 15/16 and USB-C Devices: Connect the SSD to your device using the included USB-C to USB-C cable.

   • For USB-A Devices: Connect the SSD to your device using the included USB-A to USB-C cable.

   • The SSD is plug-and-play and will appear as an external drive on your device once connected.

3. Formatting:

   • Before first use, format the SSD according to your device's requirements. For cross-platform use between Windows and Mac, format as exFAT. For dedicated use, follow your device's recommended format.

   • Ensure you back up any existing data, as formatting will erase all content.

4. Data Transfer:

   • On computers, open File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (macOS), locate the drive, and drag and drop files to or from the SSD.

   • On iPhone/iPad, use the Files app to access and manage files on the external SSD.

   • For gaming consoles (PS4/PS5), follow the console's instructions for formatting and using external storage for game installation and storage.

5. Encryption Setup:

   • Download and install Lexar DataShield software from the Lexar website.

   • Follow the instructions to set a password and enable 256-bit AES encryption for secure file protection.

6. Safe Removal: Always eject the drive using your device's "Safely Remove Hardware" function before physically disconnecting to prevent data corruption.

• Magnetic Attachment Precautions: The magnetic attachment is designed for use with iPhone 15/16 series. Keep the SSD away from credit cards, ID cards, pacemakers, and other medical devices that may be affected by magnetic fields.

• Electrical Safety: Do not expose the SSD to water, rain, or excessive moisture. Use only the included cables or certified USB-C cables to prevent damage.

• Physical Damage: Avoid dropping, bending, or crushing the SSD. While designed for portability, the internal components are sensitive to physical shock.

• Temperature: Do not expose the SSD to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods. Operating temperature range should be maintained within manufacturer specifications.

• Data Backup: While the SSD is designed for reliability, it is recommended to maintain regular backups of important data to prevent loss in the event of device failure.

• Cleaning: Unplug the SSD before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.
