Detailed Product Description
This product Natracare Long Ultra Extra 8 Pads is used for absorbing heavy menstrual flow and providing overnight protection, while being gentle on sensitive skin and environmentally sustainable. As a pack of 8 ultra extra long period pads with wings, it is crafted with a 95% plant-based formula that prioritizes both performance and eco-friendliness. The pad features a soft certified organic cotton cover that sits gently against the skin, wicking away leaks effectively, paired with an extra absorbent core made of ecologically certified cellulose pulp from fast-growing Scandinavian pine trees, processed mechanically to enhance absorbency without synthetic superabsorbent polymers (SAPs). The waterproof plant starch backing prevents leaks, while the wings secure the pad in place for reliable protection day or night. Free from plastic, perfumes, dyes, GMOs and chlorine, it is suitable for sensitive skin and those with allergies, and is gynaecologist recommended. Each pad is individually wrapped in a compostable plant-starch wrapper, making it easy to carry while out and about. The packaging is made from recycled cardboard, further aligning with sustainable values. Certified compostable to international standards, these pads break down into organic matter, minimizing environmental impact compared to conventional period products.
Direction for Use
Wash hands thoroughly before handling the pad. Remove the pad from its plant-starch compostable individual wrapper. Peel off the central paper strip to expose the BPA-free medical grade polymer adhesive. Press the sticky side of the pad firmly onto the gusset of your underwear, ensuring it is centered for full coverage. Next, peel the paper off the wings and fold them around the sides of the underwear gusset, pressing firmly underneath to secure the pad in place. For optimal protection, replace the pad regularly throughout the day or as soon as it becomes saturated, especially during heavy flow periods or after overnight use. After use, roll the pad up securely, wrap it in the individual wrapper or toilet paper, and dispose of it in a compost bin (commercially or at home) or with regular waste if compost facilities are unavailable. Do not flush the pad or wrapper down the toilet as they may cause blockages.

Product Warnings
For external use only. Keep out of reach of children. If skin irritation, redness or discomfort occurs, discontinue use and consult a healthcare provider. Do not use the pad if the wrapper is damaged or the pad appears contaminated. Avoid prolonged contact with soiled pads to maintain skin hygiene and prevent irritation; change regularly. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture to preserve the pad’s integrity. Do not reuse disposable pads. The compostable wrapper and pad will break down only in compost conditions; follow local composting guidelines for proper disposal. This product is not intended for use as a diaper or incontinence pad. Ensure proper disposal to avoid environmental pollution, do not litter or flush.
Warranty Period & Shelf Life
The shelf life of the product is indicated by the expiration date printed on the packaging. When stored unopened in a cool, dry place with the recycled cardboard pack sealed, the 8 pads maintain their performance until the stated expiration date, typically 2 to 3 years from the date of manufacture. Once the pack is opened, it is recommended to use the pads within 6 months to ensure optimal absorbency and hygiene. Proper storage prevents moisture buildup and preserves the integrity of the plant-based materials, avoiding degradation of the cotton cover and cellulose core. Avoid storing in humid environments or extreme temperatures, as this may affect the pad’s absorbent properties and adhesive strength. The compostable nature of the materials means they may degrade over time if not stored correctly, so keeping the pack sealed when not in use is essential.
For the latest information about shelf life, batch number, storage condition, it is recommended to review the product and ingredient list printed on the packaging prior to usage or consumption.
